No, your body needs energy (calories) to keep the organs functioning, if the body doesn't have enough energy from dietary sources (food) then it's going to breakdown fat and muscle to that energy, once the body has no fat and muscle left, the organs have no source of energy so the body suffers organ failure and dies, this is how people die when they starve to death.

You absolutely need protein as well, as the body cannot make essiential amino acids (hence why they're essiential), without these amino acids the body is once again forced to breakdown it's own muscles, regardless of total energy intake

could you survive on just protein + vitamins/minerals + water? Idk, I think you need some external fats (aside from omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids), but the body can turn protein into fat if needed.

you can definitely survive on fat+protein+vitamin/minerals+water though, although you'd need to be super strategic with your vitamin/mineral supplement timing, as certain minerals are absorbed better depending on the conditions (vitamin D is fat soluable and is absorbed much better with dietary fat, iron is absorbed much worse when the stomach is too acidic etc).

half the stuff I said is probably bullshit so don't quote me
