I really like your watch too, and yea, it's a full stainless steel case which is pretty rare for the time.
someone on a fourm we found said that it was either given to or made available to French resistance members post ww2 and is also why it might have the cross of Lorraine on the dial.
I think it's a pretty neat story if its true or not.
Ive got tudor watch from the 30s that I've claimed from my husband, it's made from a soft metal. I'll take a picture of it when I get home

I like them too, just a bummer some of them have pin lever movements in some of the cheaper ones.
