Have you even looked at many watches before? Developed a sense of taste and preferences? One of the reasons why it's retarded to dissuade people from trying cheaper watches is thaf those can help you actually find out what you really care about and want from a timepiece. I'd say looking at the lineup of Seiko, Oris, Longines etc. wouldn't be a bad start at all.
