On average quality of leather as Marten's, some options with better leather.
Sole can be repaired multiple times, unlike Marten's. I have a pair of these since decades, had to be re-soled once. It cost just a couple of euros and a few hours, any shoemaker can do it for you. Marten's just goes to landfill after a year or two of regular wear.

The con is that it doesn't give you that sneaker-like cushioning like Marten's does (that's why the sole lasts so long btw). But... I bought a size larger and added my own cushy leather sole. Still very comfy.

You do need a week or so to break these in! I mean it doesn't go just for these boots, applies to Marten's as well I guess.
