heel taps are bad
the holes made from drilling in the screws cause moisture and water to seep in.
the shoe will start to get mold and rot/fall apart

best thing to do is have the heels sanded down and have a thin vibram sole glued on.
newer model rick sneakers already have the heel sanded flat for you. all you need to do is have a thin vibram sole glued on it.
