I haven’t tried the heritage edp, but the vintage heritage edt has a significant amount of Mysore sandalwood. Top quality stuff. I don’t know if the new edt and edp has real sandalwood in significant amounts. It’s interesting that you find it similar to habit rouge. But it is by the same nose Jean Paul Guerlain

I usually am in Paris once a year for conferences. Next time I’m there I’ll look out for derby. Were you able to test them before buying? Their paris boutique is awesome. Unfortunately I never made it to Caron despite me being a big fan of their frags too. Also checked out Loccitane because they were open late. They also had some good paris exclusives. You should post some pictures of the Guerlain boutique if you have the time.

Sotd Guerlain Coriolan
Cariolan is a men’s fragrance, presented in 1998 in a woody chypre composition. It is dedicated to the man full of contrast: to Coriolan, a legendary Roman general who was said to be powerful and strong, pride and confident, barer of nobility, braveness and love. Coriolanus has inspired Shakespeare, Plutarh and Beethoven. He was the man who accomplished all of his goals, not because of his glory, but because of a woman he loved. The character of this great man inspired Jean-Paul Guerlain to make this fragrance; to celebrate freedom of the spirit and love with carnal pleasures and seduction. The perfume is made out of lemon leafs, bergamot, neroli and petit grain at the top notes, its heart ticking in a passionate rhythm of spicy fusion of ginger, nutmeg, ylang-ylang and gorse; settling at the warm woody base of patchouli, benzoin and leather. The elegant glass bottle was designed by Jean-Paul Guerlian in association with Robert Granai. The top and the curves on the side of the bottle are made out of bronze.

Might be so, but I’m leaning towards privately owned perfume houses with generations of experience being bought by corporations that care more about profit margins than the art of perfumery, plus scarcity and banning of quality materials used for perfumery as being the cause for the decay of quality perfumery.

I like le3 and nyi. Haven’t tried the other three but want to blind buy bi and try kouros. I do find Guerlain heritage better than nyi though.

Just wore my sample of Ganymede today. Love the mineral and agakawood. Might blind buy Bois imperial but not sure if I should go for keenzo instead. Anyone have all three and can give me a breakdown?
