Midnight blue is not a trashy color.
If you really want to have unnatural colored hair go for blue-black, brownish-purple or dark maroon. Dark or unsaturated colors in general are ok if coordinated properly.
Just don't have scene hair or some new OTT tumblr hairstyle. Balance it with a toned-down simple haircut and avoid hair accessories.
Also make sure it matches your skin tone.

One more thing: always keep your hair in perfect condition.
I mean, everyone should do this anyway, unkempt hair is gross but some people can get away with it because their hair is so bland.
Any hair damage is a lot more noticeable if your head stands out from a crowd.
Prepare yourself to invest some in good quality products.

Quite unrelated, but what do you all think of the idea that money enhances stupidity? I've only really gotten to know a handful of properly rich people in my life (my job gets me in contact with wealthy folk all the time), but in my experience all of them have either been a bit dumb or just ignorant. Meanwhile, the drop-out who helped me change my indicator bulb at the auto store today was sharp and bright, while obviously coming from a poor background and not having much education.

Maybe it's just coincidence, or maybe I'm forcing it, but the only intelligent people with money I've met are those who earned that money themselves through a lifetime of hard work and are now 60+
