yeah, that looks good. technically you don't need the expansion pack, but it's only 30 bucks and it's fun. plus if you're learning how to control the plane it doesn't matter too much what you fly because you'll learn either way.

as for the joystick, there's a lot of resources online, but basically there's a lot that will work. the most important thing is you pretty much need one with a twist grip for the rudder (you could get rudder pedals too but they're more expensive). don't use autorudder! and don't try to use your xbox controller or something. if you want to spend more to get one with more buttons or fancy sensors or metal parts or something, that's your prerogative. it's not necessary but I doubt you'll regret it.
