I want to cop this jacket but I don't know which color to choose between the black and dark brown. I have two concerns

1. I'm trying to build a new wardrobe that's as versatile as possible, but I haven't developed a style yet because I don't know what looks good on me. I want to pick the safest color that would go with the most clothing.

2. I don't know how to dress for my skin tone. I'm worried that the dark brown could clash with my brown skin.

The bottom two pics are me trying on a different Carhartt jacket in the dark brown color so you can see how the color looks on me. The jacket i'm ordering is not the same one.
