I live in a country that won't let you donate blood if you're under 50kg too, and it's just such bullshit. Like, I can get to a BMI of 16.7 and still donate blood, whilst, in your case, you can only get to a BMI of 19, minimum, before hitting the 50kg limit. Nowadays, good luck, and don't forget to recalculate your daily caloric intake after you hit the goal.
