Like many boards here, it gathers people who believe they are knowledgeable in certain field (/fa/, /sci/, /biz/, etc.) but are in fact bandwagoning something that is hip and trendy trying to be "cool" and "special".
And so you get a shitton of immensely retarded autists who shitpost 24/7. Even if they are pointed out by people who actually know their shit they just reply with memes and continue crapping relevant board. Since new people/crossposters come all the time and the cycle repeats itself, the knowledgeable people stop caring and just endure the continuous onslaught of diarrhea. Some of the shitposters after a while realize that what they believe in is wrong and learn stuff from senpais, while the vocal majority stays in self-made swamp.
This isn't the future we wanted, but there isn't much you can do to fix this.

How often do you guys buy from 'risky' brands? As in, you're at a thrift store or something and you see a nice shirt but you haven't heard anything about the brand before. I had this experience earlier and I was worried it would be shit quality or some pleb mallcore shit that would have 15 year old girls flocking over me.
