we have the occasional thread. People in them usually look bad, prolly because kimonos have such a stigma of nippon-ness that it makes it difficult for whitey to pull off. You usually just look like you're paying a visit to ur Japanese relatives. Not saying it cant b cool

of course, we had a similar discussion briefly a couple days ago. I just feel like it's pretty difficult to not look costume-y. Like how it's so difficult to wear full Takashi Miyashita The Soloist without looking like you're wearing a Pirates of the Caribbean costume. otherwise actually a pretty cool kimono even if I dont think it's working that well in these fits. Try again with a softer trouser/shoe combo, layer as others have said, play it off like its no big deal
