I'm actually going to have to agree with you... While the looks of 2007 and onward are flawed and "centered around nostalgia and irony" rather than creativity and looking forward like the pic you posted... Late '90's/early '00s is by far the ugliest era of fashion, and least for teens. I have no idea why anyone would approve of it other than nostalgia. Look at students in pic related. My dad taught at a college during this period, I visited a lot and some of his female students used to babysit me and even back then I thought they looked horrible. The '70s, '80s, and early '90s weren't entirely flattering, but least they were tacky in a fun and creative way. But this era... this is just depressing and not appealing in any way. Why did they think spiky buzz cuts and greasy center parted hair looked good again?
