Some folks would say that he's attempting to reverse engineer culture and lifestyle as a set of products and objects, as opposed to set of emotional values with real weight in the community.

But that's not my opinion on the guy, ok? I really don't keep up with all this noise and I'm totally taking a guess here.
I bet it's easy to be jealous of him, though. Lots of clothes, cool job, decent apartment, all the little accoutrements of success under perfect lighting... And there you are, sitting on the unmade bed you never got laid in. Two days of stubble on your face, fast fashion in your closets and everywhere the smell of cigarettes.

People are quick to compare another man's carefully prepared public image to the flawed human being they themselves are in private. Then they start feel threads when self loathing and/or spaghetti reach critical mass.
