In watchmaking I'm starting to get an opinion that pre-war wristwatches suck, and post 60s wristwatches suck.

Well that is unless you want to pay more for your swiss shitters in the modern era, they're slightly better. Talking haut house stuff.

I got this1920's elgin. Customer bought it for like $15. Takes buying 3 other movements and swapping parts, then making parts, then using timing washers to make it keep time. Going to charge $200 to fix it. You think he'll pay L@L.
