For those who still don't get what the hell is Neofolk, there is a really great article on the subject
by the political scientist Anton Shekhovtsov, a specialist on modern far-right movements:
http://www.shekhovtsov.org/articles/Anton_Shekhovtsov-Apoliteic_Music.html

Funny enough, I've encountered this article long before I've actually listened to Neofolk while being a political student on some research, and it caught my eye, so I ended up attending DI6 show.

It's an old article, a whole new generation of bands appeared since then, but it's still relevant.
Importantly, the article got the very core of what neofolk is and why do the nazi imaginery is so appealing in the scene.

These people might be influential to you but it's not neofolk and this philosophy has no place here. Even considering ecofascism as some kind of inner immigration, it's still a miss, Junger's "Retreat into the forest" is not a literal call to live in the cabin. Neofolk is 100% anthropocentric. Misanthropy and luddism have no place here, as well as any kind of political activism and direct action. Sadly for you no one gives a shit here about building cabins and weaving, I'm sure there are more appropriate boards for this kind of stuff like /pol. The whole "rural" thing here is just an aesthetic choice, not a propaganda on the way of life, don't be mad about it.
