I've never been impressed by Métiers d'Arts.
Many brands are on this segment : Jacob & Co, Van Cleef & Arpels, Channel, Louis Vuitton, Blancpain, Breguet... All it says about these brands is they make a shit ton of money on mass produced luxury goods, so they can afford to pay large teams of people working on 5 watches a year. Also I unironically think it's kind of tasteless... It's not a coincidence if the larger markets for thes watches are chinks and arabs.

I'm more impressed by a brand's capacity to produce large amounts of cool/interesting/accurate/well built watches.
