>Chinese letters
The worst part about this is that there is NO SUCH THING AS CHINESE LETTERS. If you get your mum's initials in Chinese on your arm...you're getting scammed. They're just scrawling gibberish on you. Also, you can't really translate full names into Chinese. Yes, there are standard transliterisations, but you're supposed to get your own Chinese name (e.g. I'm called Sam, but in China I'm called Zimo -- a traditional name meaning ink -- rather than Shanmu, the transliterisation). So don't ask for "Jerry but in Chinese please", either.

Also, Chinese is written with a specific order of strokes, and it looks weird if you don't follow them. Anyone who doesn't speak Chinese will not follow them. Basically, don't get Chinese tattooed on you unless you actually know Chinese and it's a Chinese poem or something.
