I think regardless of how many calories you want to eat, the stuff like cake doesn't really count since it isn't nutritious. I'd say if you are going to go extremely low in calories you need to really plan it out and have highly nutritious meals to try to pack in as much quality in those calories as possible. Does that make sense?

I weigh myself every day. Then I put it into MFP and a spreadsheet. Every Sunday I take the average of my weights through the week and that is what I consider to be my weight. When you weigh yourself every day, do it same time (first thing AM), but expect to see some pretty wild fluctuations. After you are used to seeing them they don't freak you out anymore, because you know your average will be in line.

Turkey was a bit scary for me, was pretty sure 1/10 of those people wanted to kill the American. Then again Doha last week was kinda creepy too, but not as bad as Turkey.

I would think the fast pace would keep you from eating since you are busy? Are you calorie counting using an app? When you see you are using up your calories during the day it seems to stop the snacking and such. Does the restaurant have healthy food?
