I love them but I avoid wearing them because they're too flashy and draw a lot of attention.

My bonafe shell boots have flat laces and I struggle to tighten them really hard too
I might try switching to X lacing this fall but it hasn't gotten cold enough to wear boots this year so far (still 25C+)

I own shell boots and my answer is no. Pic related.

It's too shiny and draws too much attention. People will comment on it.

Also the first few wears the fat comes out in the creases, the areas that look pink in your photo will actually turn white, which draws even more attention to it. You can brush it away and after 3-4 wears this stops.

Anyway no idea what he did to turn the creases pink, I guess there's a lot of product on them.

Maybe hatch shell is better and less shiny. Also maybe better on more casual outfits so you can wear it outside where shell really shines in direct sunlight.

No they are filled with synthetic materials aimed at instant comfort but will not hold up to actual use.
