you can fake them for 1/15th of the price. You are not paying for craftsmanship, time, knowhow, finishing or quality. 90% of the price is the brand. You are paying for brand recognition and not much more. Other watches at that price point have much more time and effort put into them. That's why rolex' watches have a closed back, because they don't give a fuck. Triple vaxxed sheep will keep buying them anyway

Compared to what exactly? I don't get what you're getting at because below 10k movements usually don't have extravagant high end finishing. The best you can get is GO maybe. But for the most part Grand Seikos movements line up right in there with most of the other brands in that 2-10k price category it seems.
