I live in Thailand, but was educated in Oz and the UK. Went to a department store shoe section a couple of years ago and was delighted to discover that they sold DM's (hadn't seen them for years - since I used them as part of a school uniform really). Tried on a pair of derbies. Bought them.

Whilst waiting for a receipt noticed an apparently identical shoe costing much more.

Asked about it: "oh, those are made in England."

"Here."
