its called a greatcoat (one word). they were common until the 1980s - these coats are unlike any modern clothing you will encouter, its 3 kgs of pure wool and constructed like a tank.
look in specialized vintage shops, army dumpstores and set up ebay alerts for strategic keywords.

or.... go to crombie and shell out a 1000 quid and get a coat which has a shorter skirt (i.e. is not as long) which was popular in the 2010s.
