I have this kind of money.
I needed my heavy ass jacket all winter in -10 degree weather every day. (pic related)
Pants/socks/shirts that wick moisture and are soft as all fucking hell is probably the best feeling in the fucking world.

I have like 10 pairs of merino wool socks and I am fucking addicted. Pillow like feel, stays warm when you have them in your shoes, cool off when you take them out, never smell bad, can wear them 3 times before washing them. General awesomeness.

I'm starting with a winter jacket - dead set on this one. Tons of primaloft ONE, schoeller exterior, microfiber interior, good pockets, etc.

It's not waterproof, though, so I'm looking for a waterproof hardshell to go over it.

Am I on the right path to thinking more technical?

I plan on copping this in the next 3 weeks. There is a black option, but I don't really want all of my jackets to be black, and this hue of blue should match winter tones.
