Too big, what is even with that date window?
>yeah lets make it 4 times too big for no reason.
>but lets be sure and make it a different part from the day window too.

Maybe a Timex, I think theres a few really obscure brands nobody has ever heard of that use sapphire crystals too.

Remember though, a mineral crystal is fine if you want a dressier look. It'll be under a fine cotton or silk shirt, and a wool suit. Its not likely to get scratched.
Even if it does, you can buy a sapphire crystal for $40, take it to a jeweler/watchmaker and have him upgrade if it does get scratched. Thats what convinced me to get a seiko 5

If you'd like to save the money, Casio makes a few attractive watches that are similar and fit everything except the automatic movement. I don't think you can get an automatic movement for $50 anymore.

If it actually has a sapphire crystal buy that. Timex and Casio have a few similar offerings depending on your style.

I wouldn't call it a shitter: its a good quality watch, accurate time, and most people will call it attractive. I have a Casio white face watch that I don't hate, and a White Parnis but for some reason I just don't like white watches anymore but realize I have so many black and dark blue watches too. Maybe one of these days I'll pick up a color other than white or 'dark'.

Yeah, a Seiko 5 would be $100 euros and look similar to that.

A timex or casio would be less than $500.

Might be a better question for /k/ but do you guys pair up other EDC items with different watches? Stuff like picking out a specific knife, specific gun, specific belt with a particular watch?

yeah, timex and casio has very similar stuff. The hard part is decent lume since i've blasted a watch in the sunlight or with flashlights and its readable in a dark closet for a solid 2 minutes. Great, its then useless in absolute dark. Don't let a useless feature like lume be a dealbreaker. Timex Waterbury might be what you're looking for, you just have to find a style you like then seek out the light or white dial. Keep in mind too, if you're in the <$50 range, you may have to swap out a band if you like the watch but the band is a bracelet or a cheap leather one.

Here's a decent one too, I think it was pretty cheap. I'm not the biggest fan of bracelets but just got another one recently. Still unsure if I love it or if I'll swap them out for a grain leather strap this year.
