Why don't you like the GBD? It's the simplest MIP they will ever make. They also have the GBX. MIPs only make sense for more complicated watches, for simple watches STN is better.

The GBX-100 I bought him. He needed something that would wake him up from naps and it has vibration alarm. I thought it would be too complicated for him to use and he would stop using it. I don't think he uses the alarm anymore but he wears it for work. It feels pretty good to see him wear it.
