i know this isn't relevant but im fucking pissed,

i just spent ¥4220 on a fucking cab ride home because i fell asleep on the last train home.

i was drinking with my friend in yokohama and the one line i take to go home has a transfer midway through, i was pretty drunk and the train is so warm and quiet (ty courteous jp ppl) and i fell asleep.

when i wake up im at kashiwadai with the conductor telling me to get off cause the train stops running. kashiwadai is in the middle of bumfuck nowhere, not even a damn conbini is open.

cursing to myself i weigh out my options:

a. i find a cab and get a ride home (there are always taxis outside of train stations)

b. find somewhere to rest/pass out and wait for the first train (not for another fucking 4 hours)

i think about it and decide to take a taxi cause its fucking cold and i am literally in the middle of nowhere so i ask the taxi driver:

>すみません、湘南台駅幾らぐらいですか?
>あの。。。￥4,000−5,000ぐらい、多分
>。。。まーOKです

luckily this dude could feel my struggle and was completely booking it and i got there in like 15 minutes.

i just got home and i don't know why i felt the need to write this but yea taxis are expensive in japan

tl;dr: don't fucking fall asleep on the train
