I have never owned boots before. I can see in this thread that there are concerns over materials used and if a specific boot is fit for purpose. What if I just want a boot for fashion purposes? I don't intend to go hiking or doing heavy manual labour. I live in London so I can't justify getting expensive boots for the weather when it's never extreme weather here. A lot of these boots that are in the £200+ range are ugly and bulky. What if I just want something like pic related from Clarks or anywhere else which generally go for £100 or less? What are my options?
