That's fair Anon, all important points. I didn't mean for my comment to sound flippant; weddings are stressful, for sure, and not having a house 'in order' is extremely stressful. One thing at a time, and I wish you the best of luck with it all. Just remember the golden rule about marriage; it's a marathon, not a sprint. The Day-Date will be waiting for you for when the time is right; I think you are actually 'ready' for it; it's not about whether you deserve it or anything like that, it's simply about how much time you would like to live with it and whether it is a luxury or a burden.

Good luck!

Because I'm drunk. Buy your grails...don't have a 'watch journey'. Just save up and buy your grails, and you'll be happiest, longest, without wasting money. Buy for yourself and no one else.

>>18086799
slab-sided cases turn me off. Perpetual calendar is a bargain on the secondary market. Fliegers aren't as authentic as Laco. Da Vinci is ugly but cheap. Portuguese is too big for reality.

>>18086793
Depends on the model.

>>18086784
No, they're available, and lists are going down. I'd recommend waiting another 3 years though to get true grey-market prices. I too love the left-handed Sprite...but it looks weird on the wrist (the larger cases that Rolex uses now look odd and throw off the proportion). Granted, it is the only modern Rolex I'd ever buy...which is saying something, I guess.

Of course!

Got it...Sorry about that, I didn't know it was a perpetual calendar; those have their own specific problems, especially if the date is advanced accidentally or incorrectly.

Sorry, will write more soon. Gotta run for a moment.

Yup; if you look carefully enough, you can see my hand holding the camera when the watch centers...lol I should reflect on that issue.

>>17909840
Now that I think about it, it might be cheaper to first get a full extract from the archives on it. At least then you could confirm the general parameters of the watch. Do you think there is any doubt regarding the dial, or is it just that you've never seen one with that specific combination before?

Out of the two, I like the one in the shadow more, but the one in the light looks like a proper promo-shot, you know what I mean. Busy is good, but hopefully you can get proper rest too. Today is the Grail; I do tend to wear it most of the time, as I almost always need at least 1 chronograph at hand.

Hope you have a great day too!

>It's self evident.
>you're lonely, childless, in your 40's and you're trying to figure out how you're going to play out the string.

Do you fear this Anon? You've assumed these traits about me more than once, but every time it seems to be more...urgent. Are you worried about being childless? Or is it more the loneliness that you are unable to manage? Are you lonely now? It is a Sunday, after all...you could be out with Frens before the week begins again for most people. Or is it worse? God-forbid, are you unable to have children?

I am here for you Anon. Tell me, and I will listen. Even if it feels like no one else listens...I will listen.

>>17886414
I am here for you too Anon. What are you wearing today?

Old is only when your body starts breaking down. At 30, if you're in relatively good health, you're still okay. Be thankful you can wake up in the morning and feel 'normal'.

>>17882623
For sure Anon, and you too.

>>17882630
Everyone has to work, Anon; most people I know spend their money doing things they'd like to do or buying things that make them happier. But people still have to work; that's the reality of living. If you're really lucky, your work is your hobby too and then you're really happy.

>final new pic for today: I did a macro of the Grail so you could see the subdial circles on the texture of the dial. Also, if you look closely, you can see the Omega logo on the underside of the hesalite crystal. Love that watch...

Take care, frens. Please stay safe, and don't get sick during this season.
