The thieves are using radio jammers as documented in picrelated, which raises the question of how they got them in the first place. Apparently jammers like the ones they're using are ITAR controlled devices, which means they're either black market or stolen from military/police forces, though I'm sure there are different rules to play by outside the US. The document in picrelated seems to indicate jammer attacks are getting more frequent as well, though they're still comparatively rare.

Also, this guy has shitloads of surveillance footage of livestock thieves and robberies on his youtube channel. Pretty /dwc/ stuff; would make damn good material for a music video.
