I categorize recent Raf broadly because I don't like it. Yes, I can understand that some of his stuff is somewhat daring, but it comes off more as gaudy and unappealing (Neoprene gorilla arms for example). It feels like unsubstantial flash to spice up a relatively boring and uninnovative "modern" look.

It's not vaporwave inspired, it's a continuation of cloud rap. Anyway, Le1f's tape, "Fly Zone", has the most impressive and unique production of the year, not to mention fantastic rapping and lyricism as well.
