1/8 speed on my pulsometer 5S21 to illustrate the truly smooth movement.

These watches have an EOL indicator; instead of the motor ticking at 4Hz, it ticks at 8Hz for 1/2 a second, and then doesn't tick for half a second. You can visibly see the second hand speed up and slow down, though it never comes to a complete rest.

A 5S21-7A10. The non-HAQ version of the smooth-sweep 4Hz movement. It uses a hairspring and a vial of viscous liquid to damp the 4Hz stepper to get a true smooth sweep.
