Their co-axial escapement hasn't been developed by them. They just bought the patent from George Daniels, who tried to sell it to different watchmakers prior to Omega.
Its only advantage is longer servicing intervals. Downside is only Omega can service your watch at whatever cost they want. It doesnt improve accuracy, power reserve or thinness of the movement.
