By your standards the Omega Seamaster Professional is also a homage of the Submariner, despite looking nothing like it. In reality it generally became the standard for serious dive watches to use a unique index for 12, round indices to hold the most lume the easiest, and unique indices for 3, 6 and 9. That and a rotating bezel are not enough to make a watch a homage to the submariner in any sensible view.
