imo that's a good thing. doop dresses for himself, not for petty fame in the community. it's a lot worse on the fashion forums, but way too many posters tie down their style to just what looks good in front of the camera/mirror and not what actually works in a coherent style, in the context of their circle and personality.

If i saw theo at a party or gig or something, I wouldn't fucking talk to him. he dresses like a massive dork. /fa/ needs to get out more and realize what actual style looks like.

Same. I dress up if I'm going to a museum/gallery or a show/open and certain kinds of parties but these days I don't go to any anymore.

If I'm meeting with effay people, I dress cool too, but it's not fun looking cool alone. The friends I know now aren't as cool as my old crew. I'm stuck wallowing alone waiting for them to catch up, it's so dumb.

I wish I could cop a cool gf so I could go back to styling on everything. You know when you're extremely hung over, looking perfectly sickly, your great fit from last night all rattled up looking better than it ever did, and you're sitting in a cafe across from a friend looking exactly the same, and you're both certified with that very rare luxury to be not just justified, but obligated to keep your sunglasses on indoors? Determined to prove them wrong but the idea of having fucked up is hard to get over sometimes and do the work. Other time you just draw to run from the pain. I walk around with oversized clothes that are really just unfitting cause I used to be a huge butter goblin where now am but a skelly like pic related but slightly looser pants. My social life exists in satisfying my clients so I can pay the rent on time and avoiding the SJW traps that comes with being in the art department.
