I hope the classes are going well!

Don't worry about falling into the trap of the watch journey; at least you didn't spend lots on the other pieces. So many YouTubers encourage the 'journey': 'Don't buy this until you've bought a less-expensive inferior version of it so you know you'll like the more expensive version'. The pretense is that the advisor is trying to 'save you money', but in fact they're encouraging you to do the opposite. It's a beautifully crafted scheme which flies under the radar of so many people, and appeals to the test-drive + instant-gratification sentiment. I fell into it when I bought my Seagull 1963 Chrono. I wanted to know what it was like to own a manual-wind chronograph, to 'prepare' myself for the Omega Speedmaster. The watch is in great condition and runs well, but I never wear it. It sits in a drawer reminding me never to do that mistake again. So now I recommend to people getting into the watch thing to do their research and aim for the most expensive watch they actually want. Be patient, and then get 1 watch that is awesome. If they want a second one, at least it won't be a proxy or a cope for the one they really wanted in the first place.

Regarding the Eichi - you're in a very safe country, so if you got one, you could wear it without too much fuss as long as you know where you will end up. In colder seasons, it'll be under a sleeve, so again, no worries. In western countries, no one knows what it is, so again, it won't be a target. I think you will be okay, so don't worry. Of course, if you do get it, you'll likely never wear your other watches again...lol

Good luck with everything, and I hope your week started well too.

Good eve, CitizenChad! Port, as always, is being imbibed heavily; lots to celebrate!

Hope you are doing well; is the Citizen running okay? (I'm sure it is). Any new watches in the pipeline?

I missed you all.
