Ok man, I didn't mean to dissuade you too hard ... they're comfy, cheap and durable boots. Like in specific colours (wheat, black, brown), in the baggy tall variant, with a canvas upper, they're ok. But only a select few models do look alright, and the whole militant Converse look might not gel with the vibe of your workplace. Also, I'd never go near the leather models because they're really tacky and cheap looking.

Personally, I have and am very happy with pic related (Dr Martens Pascal Decon), but they're sold out now. I got my pair off eBay but that was half a year ago. Honestly just go and try on some black mono Dr Marten 1460s instore, they're an inoffensive and a pretty good starting point for getting into boots. Good luck
