As soon as you put another guy next to me my self esteem is gone. I look like a compensating try hard if I try to act confident. I went to a party last night which is a rare occasion for me, and discovered that I shake terribly when I'm trying to be social. I got lots of compliments on my fit and hair though. Life is pain.

It's funny how people coming from households with nicotine/alcohol/drug-addicts often end up on the ends of the consuming spectrum: Either they are straight edge in fear of ending up like their relatives, or they end up like them.

I think this only applies to people whose parents have always smoked, tho. My dad started when I was something like 12 and I've never really felt a need to smoke or anything. I feel like it only affects you if you grow up from toddler watching them do it.

Oh, also, my dad switched to vaping a year or so ago and despite what everyone here says, it's pretty effay. Just imagine a 55-year old artist on his balcony with slightly over sized clothing and a scraggly beard sipping his coffee and vaping, staring into the distance.
