plant guy here, it really depends on the placement of the window. i think you should get a bigger plant, like a butterfly palm or a ficus if its in a corner. however, a good idea is to build a frame for extra space on the windowsil to put a lot of smaller plants on. one way to help the first one is to fill your room with things, like using any storage or display space to its full advantage, like pic related. that makes it comfier, matches the plant aesthetic, and gives the illusion that your plant is in the corner.
