The watch has user-adjustable trimmers to adjust the average rate. Based on my lab incubator testing mine is still maintaining good temperature compensation and runs within a 5spy precision - although the mean rate has drifted over time (as all quartz watches will, as the crystal ages), the mean rate is adjustable and the precision is just as good as the day it was made.
