I have a question for anyone scrolling through who knows building materials/construction/interior design. What material looks good on walls that can replace paint? For example, you can do wood paneling, but that to me looks tacky and dated in most applications I've seen. Do you have to go with stone or concrete otherwise? Is there something that looks welcoming and comfortable, not sterile and cold, that isn't paint?
