WHY THE FUCK DO PEOPLE WEAR THESE. The toebox is bulky and hideous. The sole is bulky and hideous. The yellow on black accents are hideous. Theyre made of what appears to be plastic??... i simply dont understand what draws people to these shoes

Ok so Doc Martens suck now. That I know. My last two or three pairs have been absolute garbage. But I want to get another pair of 1460s since I love the way they look.

I am looking for recommendations for what leather to get them in. I had a pair in the traditional 'Smooth,' but they were extremely uncomfortable despite many hours of trying to break them in.

My favorite pair of Docs were my 8841 Industrial boots in the 'Greasy' leather, which was instantly comfortable but not that durable. It was so soft that it was very easy to nick and scratch. And it of course never held a shine.
