Also I just realized that Rei Issey and Yohji have all at one point worked closely with dancers / dance institutions

How interesting, maybe we're onto something culturally. Or maybe dance and fashion were just closely connected in the zeitgeist during those times?

I went to a Japanese fashion exhibition last year and remember an Issey show being played where the models were like dancing forest nymphs (?) or something, anyone know the season? would love to see it again

Man in pic related looks EXACTLY like the chef I used to work with at a restaurant, I thought of doing something a la Sonomama Sonomama and getting him to wear my Yohji suit to take pics of him cooking some delicious pasta
