Friend went all Buddhist/minimalist and moved out of his comfy modern apartment to a creepy, dirty single room like pic related (minus the chair).

No tv, computer, central heating or even a bathroom which he has to use a public toilet across the street.
Literally just a bed and a fridge to put his onions shit in.
