Should "cultural appropriation" actually be taken into account when choosing clothing?? I have a gorgeous Hawaiian dress with kimono sleeves (cut is very similar to pic related, but with a brown / red abstract pattern and more open sleeves) would probably be identifiable only as "oreintial" not Hawaiian. I don't know when I'd ever wear it, but would it be a bad move since I'm white? I think cultural appropriation is BS but if I would actually look like a dumbass in such as dress as a white woman I'd want to know.
