I think jewelry that pays homage to your ancestry can look nice, you just need to stick to the same guidelines you would use for other types of jewelry. You want to find something made of sterling silver, not some nickle coated piece of crap that someone is reselling on Etsy. In my opinion, 3D jewlery or flat pendants are more aesthetic than pieces with a raised design+ flat back.

It can also depend on the design on the piece. I've worn a necklace like pic related and a lighting bolt pendant, and nobody besides friends who are interested in history recognized the connection to Norse mythology. Whether you want that connection to be obvious may depend on your environment too. A lot of normies coorelate runes and Nordic symbols with racism/ white gangs. I live in an area with mostly German/ Scandinavian heritage, so no one's ever given me shit. But if you live in an area where there are gangs, or the only association people have with those symbols is Nazis, I would be careful.
