You ever get those packets of silica gel with electronics or new shoes?
put a few in each shoe every night, right after you take them off. They'll suck all the moisture out of the shoe in an hour or two. Odor causing bacteria will never really get its hooks in.

Helps to rotate shoes, too, but do try the silica gel trick - you'll never be without them after you see the difference it makes.

You admit that you're new.
You admit, freely, that you know little or nothing about this style, yes?
Why not reserve judgements until you're not so new? Don't slam a door before you've seen what's in the room.
At the very least, the process of coming to understand how someone might reach a place where that shoe appears viable is a journey worth taking, even if only to better understand the evolution of personal style.

You don't have to like it, but you'll be a better man if you allow yourself understand it.
