Are classic leather boots LARP tier? Objectively speaking - in terms of comfort, durability, price, ease of maintenance etc - they've long been surpassed. When you look at soldiers, or construction site workers, or anyone whose job involves a lot of walking around outdoors, they always wear modern footwear. And the past people you're emulating would've worn modern footwear too, had it been available.

I just feel that stuff like >>13837429, cool as it may look in a photo, should only be used as indirect inspo. Following it to the letter is missing the point. Better to follow the spirit and wear a parka.
