And desu at this point low class people don't wear knitwear but sweatshirts and hoodies, it's outdated.
I always tought Fussell was a bit of a meme since 1. America doesn't have a proper class system. if you are rich you're upper class, while if a british plumber won a lottery that doesn't make him upper class. american upper class is almost entirely new money.
And 2. If you are truly upper class you sure as hell don't need to read a book on how to behave upper class
