So we all want to be /fa/, but that requires more than just dressing well. Facial aesthetics is one of, if not the most important parts of being /fa/

Lighting has a huge effect on how the face looks. For example in certain lights I have a strong wide jawline and hollow cheeks, and when I've posted pictures taken in said lighting, anons have told me I look like a model. But in other lighting (specifically overhead and behind me), I look like subhuman garbage. My jawline looks nonexistant, my cheekbones disappear entirely and huge nasolabial folds appear. My face looks like it's melting.

So having said that, what is the best lighting to maximize facial aesthetics? And what is the absolute WORST lighting that we should avoid at all costs? And most importantly, which lighting provides the most accurate/realistic representation of how we look, because at the end of the day real life matters more than pictures.

It's all about lighting, lenses, and the distance the picture is taken from.

But most importantly, lighting.
